Who can use it

Students 18+ with a live @exeter.ac.uk address, under their real name. One account per person, one ticket per listing.

What you can sell

Your own ticket, in your own name, that you bought for yourself and can no longer use. Not tickets bought to resell, not tickets bought with software above a per-person limit — that is a criminal offence (Digital Economy Act 2017 s.106). Set your own price — we suggest what nights usually go for, you can type any amount, including above FIXR face. Buyers see asking price, FIXR face (when we have it), the unique ticket number, name-lock / 18+ restrictions, and fees before they pay. No 14-day cooling-off: this is a dated leisure ticket; the refund is the door-fail path.

Event organiser terms

Some organisers (including FIXR-ticketed venues) restrict or prohibit transfer. Name-locked Timepiece / FIXR tickets can fail at the door if staff check the QR and, rarely, the person or ID against the name on the ticket — buyers and sellers both accept that. A ticket that fails because the organiser cancelled it, won't accept a transfer, or turns you away after an ID check is handled under the door-fail refund rules (buyer refunded when we uphold the claim with proof from the door, seller may get a strike). We don't guarantee entry.

Prices

Buyers always see the listed price, the fee and the total together — £25.00 ticket + £0.76 booking fee = £25.76 — never the listed price alone. Sellers see their ask and what they'll receive.

Money

You pay Stripe at checkout. The seller is paid then on Stripe Express — we don't hold the sale overnight. Stripe pays that Express balance to the seller's bank once a week. You keep a door-fail refund until two hours after the night starts: send a photo or video from the door with your claim. One claim per term. If we uphold a fail, you get a full refund and we claw the seller's payout. We don't run a wallet. Resale is at cost: buyers pay a booking fee that only covers Stripe's processing — 1.5% + 20p on the payment and 0.25% + 10p on the payout to the seller, rounded up to the penny — and we make nothing on it. For example, a £25.00 ticket costs £25.76 and a £1.00 ticket costs £1.33. Sellers pay no fee and receive their full asking price. No referral cash is paid on booking fees (referrers earn on friends' paid Drops plans instead). Referral cash: tap Cash out on Me once you have £5 or more and we send it to your own Stripe Express balance straight away — the same payout rail sellers are paid on — and Stripe pays it to your bank on its weekly (Friday) payout. Fee credits only reduce booking fees and are never paid out. Fees are shown before you pay. If Stripe is in test mode, you will not be charged real money. The spin is a free prize draw (fee credits, no purchase required).

Referrals

Invite friends with your link or your code (the start of your university email), which they can type when they sign up. When a friend with a verified @exeter.ac.uk email follows a nightclub, society or night or completes a trade, you both get booking-fee credits (never cash) and you get free Drops time; 3 friends makes you a founding member and 4 in a year unlocks free Drops for your house. Signing up alone never counts, and there's no chance element. Full rules are in the Terms.

Follow nightclubs, societies and nights

Drop alerts are opt-in. Pick the nightclubs (Timepiece, Fever, Cavern and more), the societies you're in, or single nights. Nothing is sent until you turn alerts on. Buying and selling never need a subscription.

Tickets that need a code

We only ping for tickets anyone can buy on FIXR. Rep, member and guest-list tickets that need a code or a private link never trigger a ping. A night where every ticket needs a code shows “Code needed — members or reps only” and gets no pings unless public tickets come out.

What we ping

How fast, honestly

We read FIXR's public listings — never your account. Pings usually land within seconds while our fast checker is running, within a couple of minutes otherwise, and sometimes slower. The app shows when FIXR was last checked, and says so when we can't see FIXR. Alerts are best effort: no guarantee a ping arrives or that tickets are still there when you tap.

Push to your phone

Push goes to phones and browsers where you allowed it (on iPhone, add ExeTix to your Home Screen first). Drop alerts are push-only — there are no alert emails, and no marketing email.

Price

ExeTix Drops is £1.99/month for push alerts, after a 7-day free trial, no card needed to start. Cancel any time in the app, as easily as you started. We remind you 3 days before a trial turns paid. Friends who join with your code and pay for Drops earn you £1 a month each — off your own bill first, the rest as referral cash. Full rules in the Terms.

We never buy

We never buy, hold, basket or reserve tickets, and never use software to get round a per-person limit. You book on FIXR yourself — usually one per person and name-locked.

What we keep

Your name, university email, socials you choose to add, and encrypted ticket images. Ticket images are only ever shown to the buyer who paid for them. Screenshots are deleted 30 days after the event. For door-fail claims: the photos and videos sent from the door, which only our admin team can view. For alerts: what you follow, your push devices, a log of pings sent, and the nights you tapped “I want this night” on.
