How Exeter Ticket Exchange works. Product description, not legal advice.
Who can use it
Students 18+ with a live @exeter.ac.uk address, under their real name. One account per person, one ticket per listing.
What you can sell
Your own ticket, in your own name, that you bought for yourself and can no longer use. Not tickets bought to resell, not tickets bought with software above a per-person limit — that is a criminal offence (Digital Economy Act 2017 s.106). Set your own price. Sellers see face value for context when listing; buyers see the asking price and fees before they pay.
Event organiser terms
Some organisers (including FIXR-ticketed venues) restrict or prohibit transfer. Name-locked Timepiece / FIXR tickets can fail at the door if staff check the QR and, rarely, the person or ID against the name on the ticket — buyers and sellers both accept that. A ticket that fails because the organiser cancelled it, won't accept a transfer, or turns you away after an ID check is handled under the door-fail refund rules (buyer refunded, seller may get a strike). We don't guarantee entry.
Money
You pay Stripe at checkout. The seller is paid then — we don't hold the sale overnight. You keep a door-fail refund until two hours after the night starts. If we uphold a fail, you get a full refund and we claw the seller's payout. We don't run a wallet. Referral rewards are fee credits or referral cash per the product rules, cashed out on the seller payout rail. Fees are shown before you pay. If Stripe is in test mode, you will not be charged real money.
Your data
Your name, university email, socials you choose to add, and encrypted ticket images. Ticket images are only ever shown to the buyer who paid for them. Screenshots are deleted 30 days after the event. See Privacy for the fuller notice.
